Can anyone tell me where to buy barbacks for a "93 K1100RS. Have searched the web and cannot find them listed anywhere by application. Interested in buying this model bike but know I will need to use barbacks like I put on my '86 K100RS if I want to ride any distance. Left hand goes numb without them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Two weeks ago bought a '94 K1100RS with "barbacks". My arms are REALLY long and I took them off and the bike now really fits me well.

They are in my garage now- interested in making an offer?

i just bought a 1996 K1100 RS and i am interested in your barbacks Mr. Sugarhill if Mr. dfnton is not. If he is perhaps you could share what type they are and if they required additional longer cables to mount. this is my first posting so let me know how to get in touch.

I bought some for my 96 K1100Rs from "Twisted Throttle". They are made by SW-MOTECH and work very good for me. I got the ones that raise the bars abit and move them back abit. They are part number "LEH.00.039.132". The cables did not need to be redone, only loosened. You will have to modify the dash panel that holds the switches and mount it some other way than it is now. The key ends up being down below the panel. I used cable ties and it works for me. I may make a new mounting bracket some day. They can be gotten online. I got mine at the rally. They were $100 and are worth it to me.

wow. thanks so much phil. i really appreciate the input. had a 98 K bike then a 02 GS (very comfy on highway) and am now on a 96 so i'm getting it set up for touring etc.: if you;ve got any more tips on this bike please do advise even if in a different forum or tittle. things concerning me are heat management and a set up for piaa lights and the best tires and do they need the infamous spline lube or was that the older model k's.

cheer,

If you haven't already been there, go to:

This is where I get most of my education on the bike.

Bobs BMW has them. They're the same for K100RS,etc. All your original cables and brake hose will work.
