I was out for my usual weekend morning ride and was into it for about an hour when I came up to a stop sign, engaged the clutch and stopped. Something didn't feel right so I looked down and the tach was reading 3100 rpm or so even when my hand was complete off the throttle. I released the clutch and began to move, reclutched and the throttle went back to "normal".
Thinking this was odd I pulled over a couple of miles later, put the bike in in neutral and operated the throttle alone and again it stuck at about 3100 rpm for about 5 seconds, then went back to normal idle. It continues to stick like this, but not every time. I have an 07 K12GT. I will note that this morning was the first time it was cold enough to use the handgrip warmers, but I don't think it would be related. Since I am obviously not very well versed in how these things work, any thoughts/comments on how to fix the problem are appreciated.
