FYI,
I was in my dealer's service shop today due to a wiring issue with a brand new GPS install, and they told me after fixing this, that they also performed a BMW NA recall, a replacement of the spark plugs, due to originals being reported as cracked and failing causing stalling. Mine never did stall, but this has been widely reported on the f800riders.org (http://www.f800riders.org) website.
Bike runs as great as it did before and the GPS is now consistently reporting traffic issues as it was meant to do. The original install left a fray wire under the cradle causing a ground-out. This is all fixed now.
