Rockies have now had a time to cool off while the Sox have red hot bats and great pitching!

If I were a betting man, my money would be on an American team winning the World Series. They do seem to have done very well in the past.:D :brow :D :wave

I'll get my coat and shut the door behind me.

so, what is so 'world' about world series?? I don't see any Cuban baseball team in the mix (and you know they are quite good). World? Really? -Bob

I love Gillette. They make really good razors :D

As for the World Series, on principal, I have to say the Colorado Rockies. I always cheer for the National League team in the World Series. Even the hated Dodgers.

To me the only Rockies were first the Kansas City Chiefs... Hockey History....

But since I don't really have a dog in either fight, I am rooting for a good series of 7 and a Sox win.... I was really pulling for the Cubs though.

After a record layoff of eight days, they do appear a bit rusty.

And didn't the Chiefs become your Devils after first considering a move to Ottawa where they didn't like the size of the rink there (9200 seat Ottawa Civic Centre)?

Kansas City Scouts, became the Colorado Rockies, then went to the NJ Devils in 1982.
What's baseball?

I just hope it goes seven. That means a bit more baseball on tv, and we're a couple days closer to spring training, the final four, the masters...oh, yeah and riding again in the middle west! Curse that snowblower!

Sox were looking great last night. I tuned in just in time to watch that looooooong fifth inning. I think it was nice of the Rockies to let everyone of the Sox get a hit....or a double......

I hope it snows in Denver and Boston and they have to finish the series in a minor league park in Florida in January. Wow, baseball season should be over!!!!

Go Cowboys:clap

And then there are the seasons of Professional basketball and professional hockey.

Football does seem to have a better length of season but if they went too much longer they might not have enough players left standing.

I'll second that. SOX in 6, go Pats. What a great time to be a New England Sports fan.

Well, even our Minnesota Twins won twice ('87 and '91), so it does look like the Sox can do this.

Me, I'd just like to watch some good, close baseball games. 13 to 1 is kind of boring. I especially like it when they play at the National league park, where the DH is out of the picture. I wish they'd do away with the DH in the AL, I like the added strategy that's required and decisions that need to be made when a pitcher is batting.

Well, I root for the NL team regardless of who it is. I am a San Diego Padres fan and will even root for the hated Dodgers if LA makes it to the World Series. I will never cheer for an American League team. Real baseball, in my opinion, is played by 9 players - not 10. Pitchers should bat and other than lack of practice, there is no reason they cannot be better at hitting.

are the pirates in it yet? If they have a losing season next year they will break the record for the longest losing season by a team. So I'm rooting for the pirates to have a losing season. We have the prettiest ball park (arguably) and the worst team. I guess I'll root for the Rockies, NL team, small market, underdogs, my kind of team. I do like Boston and Fenway park so it's a lackluster kind of rooting.
