Can a Hall Sensor article from January 20XX be viewed on-line?

I believe that I have encountered a Hall Sensor failure and I noticed a few references to a January ON article about Hall Sensors. Is there a way to view this article on-line? I believe the article is from January 2006. I am trying to decide if I replace the Hall Sensor or have a dealer do it. I have read my Clymer manual and looked at some other information posted on the Oilhead forum. I would just like to see the article from January XXXX, as referenced in some of the posts.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

While not the link you requested, I believe this link will be very helpful:

I wrote the article in the ON. One of several resources I used in writing the article was Dana's page referenced above. I don't have the article at the moment - and it isn't on-line.

But, Dana's page has all the information you need to know how to proceed. In some respects it is more detailed than the article in the ON.

Change it yourself. I read about cracked insulation and decided to replace wifeys HES. Good thing I did, the guy sent pics of the cracks in the insulation.

It was really easy on her R-1100R. I think an RT would be more of a challenge but isnt everything on an RT a challenge? :blah

Setting the timing was interesting. I used one of those LEDs with the built in resistor and two alligator clip jumpers. I set the timing and rotated through TDC two more times to be sure.

Do it yourself, takes a little bit of time but you can do it.
I have some files on the work if you want me to send them to you.
