File this under "What was he thinking?" :dunno
It's a rainy night in new England so I decide to change the brake pads on the 96 R1100RT something that I've done many times. The left side went great, the ebc pads slipped right in and the brembo was back on in no time. The right one was another story. I had a hell of a time compressing the pistons to get the pads to slip in and I made a cardinal mistake, In a fit of temporary insanity, I grabbed a channel lock, squeezed the snot out of one side of the caliper and out pops a piston and the ensuing dribble of my favorite substance, good old Dot 4 brake fluid which is by far the most corrosive substance (to painted surfaces) since egg yolks. So here I sit. I can't locate my Haynes Manual regarding dismantling the caliper to reinstall the piston. Can someone send me the procedure? PM is okay. I could do it tonight. I've decided not to drink any beer until after this thing is straightened out.
Thanks in advance.
