Anyone? What about frost?
Fall has been slow to come to Milwaukee and it was in the mid-80s this past week but I suspect that it is cold somewhere......

The news said 30's in northern Minnesota and flurries in the UP....
(sorry Upper Penninsula of Michigan.)
We have had frost out in theresa this year. The 80's of late have been a bit unusual. I get the feeling we are going to pay fro this nice weather come Jan and Feb.

88 yesterday and warm again today. :( I'm looking forward to some real fall weather. With the forecast, it looks like I may have to break out the electric jacket liner this weekend for my early morning rides. (When can I start complaining about it being too cold and spring won't come??:laugh )

...I hope it cools off a bit so I can get some more choirs done outside before the real winter season sets in......
It's so nice outside you're singing?:stick

No snow yet in San Diego. :) (Yes, we DO get snow . . . but up in the mountains east of the city.)

I think some ice crystals flew out of the air conditioner this afternoon cooling off from the short outing this morning. 88 degrees F today and I hope it cools off a bit so I can get some more choirs done outside before the real winter season sets in.
It is a nice day to wash and wax the GS since the last time that was done was May. I have to check and see if I am allowed by the government to run extra water then see how that bonds with hydrogen sulfide dust.
It's finally cooler here today; only in the 70's, now. It's heading East, and rain is close behind.
Don't worry about the H2S; just run a lot of water on it. If it pits your exhaust, it's just street credit. :)

Still no snow here in San Rafael, though we get it on Mt. Tam when the snow level gets low enough.
Today, we're getting our first good rain since last April, so winter's coming.
Should be in the mid 70s, this weekend, which is about normal.

I guess I would expect snow at around 10xxx feet but to have had snow in Gillette seems crazy.
I suppose that I should say that I live at 634 feet in Milwaukee. :)

We've had one snowfall in the City, which quickly melted off; we're at 3500 feet.
But things are looking good up at Sunshine:http://www.skibanff.com/conditions/webcam1still.php
Mostly our fall has featured good riding weather each week.

Actually, it sort of is and sort of isn't, snow. It was a weird storm that dumped a lot of rain and small hail at the same time and when it ran down off the roof it fell as snow. So much came down in 5 minutes that the gutters were overwhelmed and it overshot them.
But then again, there were some flurries last night but the ground is still warm enough that it melted as it hit.

Hmmm. Lake Michigan is at about 580. We (central IL) are about 720, but it goes down to about 450 feet near the Mississippi. I was checking to see where to live should global warming continue.

Washington Pass I20 north WA at over 4500 ft. Still easily passable but the mountains look cool capped in white.

We had a dusting last Saturday night about a 1/2 inch. It's mostly gone now except what's in the shade. Low Tuesday morning was 19F. brrrr

I got snowed on while commuting to work about a week ago. Thankfully, nothing was sticking or turning to ice. My riding season is short enough as it is without the effin' snow coming in September/October.

See...I knew as soon as BG said "anybody have snow...?" we were going to have a new ice age. It was 50 F here this am after this Monday in the 90s. I plugged in my liner and zipped up. And got out the heavier gloves.
So what's on tap for this winter's motorcycle person non riding ice age activity...?

It was 20 degrees at our house (7400') outside of Durango on Sunday morning. No snow, but certainly cold enough for it. On the other side of the coin, after starting out cold like that, it still gets up to about 70 in the afternoon with crystal-clear blue skies, making for perfect Indian Summer...

WOW! And Gillette only has an elevation of 4550 feet!
But it is a long ways inland, and at a latitude similar to Milwaukee. All of these things are factors.
