Happy Thanksgiving to our friends and family north of the 49th!

If it weren't for Martin Frobisher, where would we be on this day? Iqaluit, actually! :scratch

This day is especially important for me, as my wife is Canadian and her family heritage (Ukrainian) takes Thanksgiving to heart. Growing up in Saskatchewan, a bountiful harvest was ever so important and Thanksgiving has always been a special holiday. Due to scheduling conflicts, we won't be celebrating Thanksgiving until next weekend so we'll be counting down the days until we're enjoying turkey, perogies and cabbage soup on a lovely Fall day in Yorkton, SK.

Enjoy your day my fellow Canadians, and remember all you have to be thankful for!

Jim

I have Burnszilla and especially his lovely and talented wife Sharon to thank for a great Canadian Thanksgiving dinner last night.

The only bummer with Canadian Thanksgiving in the US is that I have to work today.

As far as I can tell, Columbus day is only for postal workers and other federal workers.
