After about a thousand miles on my new to me R1100RT my only complaint is the grips. I don't know if they are stock either. They are molded so that it looks like a stack of orings with the ones in the middle a bit larger in diameter. I find it very uncomfortable after just a few miles.
Can anyone recommend an aftermarket or improved BMW grip for the RT?
Thanks, Jay

You peal off the old ones, and install these underlayments, and put your old grips back on. $35
Of go buy them from BMW for about $250.

I put a set of "Grip Puppies" over my stock grips and they are wonderful!

Great info on the grip puppies. I just ordered a pair. A good cheap fix.

+1.
I got the "grip condoms" as soon as I bought my RT. It was a battle getting them on.
A hint is to cut them 1/4" too long and they'll shorten as you streatch them over the gips.

Yea, for grip puppies. :dance I didn't like the shape and hardness of the stock grips on my RRS. :bluduh I paid $8 (plus shipping), rassled them on and love the way they feel.

The grip puppies were a waste of money!!! They fit nice and tight in the center of the grip, but at either end it's loose. Like I said, I may not have stock grips to start with. If anyone wants these things PM me off post.

I purchased a set of "Grab On" grip covers for my 1200RT. They slide over the exisiting grips and work with heated grips. If you follow the directions they go on surprisingly easy and grip very well They have been great, I like the larger grip and they cleanup real well. They run $7.69, so they're worth a try.
