It appears Steve took his wife's statement as meaning she didn't mind if he bought the bike. I'm not sure I would ask him to diagnose problems that require careful listening. :D

In thinking about this, it is clear that he doesn't speak nor understand "wife."

My wife rarely rides with me, and her reason is that if we both die on the scoot, who's going to be there to raise the kids? What, her brother? yea right, my brother in law...right...NOT.
