I recently took my dealer's advice and changed from B20 to B21 tires. The promise was greater mileage. I got 14,000 from the last two sets of B20s. My dealer spotted unusual & severe tire wear during a tune-up on the B21 front tire. I only have 6,000 miles on it. The rear is fine. After a call to Bridgestone by my dealer I'm getting a free new front tire because Bridgestone has been having problems with certain bike and premature wear on their front B21s. My dealer is throwing in free mounting & balancing on the replacement since he suggested the change. Now that's service. I use D&S Cycles in Beaverton, OR. They aren't a BMW dealer, in fact they don't sell bikes, but they service the Oregon police bikes. They ride the R1200RT as I do. A major service cost me $171. Yes, I guess this is a plug for a great dealership. BMW dealers need not respond.
