NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Keith Urban was uninjured Monday when he crashed his motorcycle near his home in Sydney, Australia.
In a statement issued by his publicist, Paul Freundlich, Urban said he was "out riding to an AA meeting, a time when my privacy is especially important to me, (when) I felt myself being pursued" by a photographer on another motorcycle.
"I sped up, and in an effort to elude an oncoming car which was making an illegal U-turn, saw no choice but to drop my bike," the 39-year-old country singer said.
He walked away though.

If you have to drop your bike to get away from a danger, you're incompetent. Period!

The "photographer" must have been a pretty awesome rider if he could outride Keith Urban, who was trying to evade him, while taking photographs which violated his privacy. Wonder when we will see the photographs of the accident......:stick

But who is Keith Urban? And why would anyone have to "lay a bike down?" That takes away all options. But still, glad whoever he is that he's ok.

Stupid stupid stupid, you cannot avoid a collision by having a collision with the ground. "Laying the bike down" is simply colliding with the ground. :sick

Do I have this straight?
He values his privacy when he rides his bike. So in an attempt to avoid having his photo taken he speeds away from a photographer causing a near collission with another vehicle. To avoid the collision he lays his bike down.
The end result of the incident being massive publicity.
We should fix this guy up with Britney Spears.

I heard Keith wiped out because a BMW passed him so fast he thought his bike stopped, so he was gettin' off it to see what was wrong.
