View Full Version : Tool to add H20 to battery

After once entirely removing my battery to add water, I recalled a tool I made to remove the last of the coolant from the cylinder bores when I replaced the head on my Saab.

You need a turkey baster, about six to eight inces of wiper fluid hose, and the most indispensible tool in a toolbox; duct tape.

Cut the end of the turkey baster tube just enough to insert the wiper fluid hose. Insert the hose, and duct tape the hose to the baster to make a relatively air tight connection.

The wiper fluid hose easily reaches the front of the battery in situ. Now, if I had a center stand, adding water would be much easier.

Hope this helps.
