Moisture in the Tachometer

Hi, The tachometer on my 02 1150RT fogs up in heavy rain or after a wash. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how you fixed it. It has to be moisture getting in, but I have not had a chance to take it apart yet and see if the fix is obvious. Any advice would be appreciated.
