I plan on a trip via Seattle, Prince Rupert to Juneau. I have a FJR1300 but also have 91 100LT. Would prefer to take the FJR but clearance on it is somewhat limited compared to the BMW. Any thought please let me know.

Will you be taking the Alaska Ferry from Bellingham or riding to Prince Rupert and catching the ferry to Juneau from there?

You can't drive to Juneau...

British Columbia has a great website for trip planning. On this page (http://www.drivebc.ca/byRouteEvents.jsp), you can input the highways you'll be riding to find out current conditions. It's pretty detailed information. I just ran the route (Hwy 1 to Hwy 97 to Hwy 37 to Hwy 16) and it even has "wildlife warnings" for certain sections!

I haven't ridden the route myself, but I'm fairly certain it's paved the entire way. Others will have first-hand information.
