Sorry if this has come up before... However a search "tank sticker removal" returned no results...

In regards to the warning stickers on top of the tank:

The "Avoiding idling, risk of fire" and "Servo-assisted brakes" stickers have started chipping at the corners, and at this point (perhaps any point) I think it will look better without them...

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

If I may make a suggestion, put new ones on after detailing your bike. Authentic bikes are worth more. Stickers don't cost a lot and are easily obtained.

Thanks for all the suggestions...

And I never thought of the stickers as "original", but I guess you are quite correct.

Maybe I can just neaten up the edges somehow? I didn't really want to remove them, it's just that they are getting a little ratty on the corners.

Those silver-colored stickers are very brittle. I used a hair dryer, Goo-Gone and the edge of a credit card and my fingernails to get them off.

[Sarcasm on]

I found a beautiful used 2001 RT but without the original warning stickers so I passed on buying it

Don't wash the bike, put the tank bag on, who will see?
