Need advice for short norcal trip

The Mrs and I are gonna do a short trip on our RT, sat & sun only next weekend. We'd like to check out the Sierra foothills but, are not familiar with the area and usually do longer trips. Any suggestions? We are in the SF Bay Area and want to stay within 200-250 miles of home. Any nice bike friendly B&Bs out there? Nothing fancy but want to avoid the usual crappy motels.

The Outside Inn in Nevada City is a bit quirky, but a nice stay. This would allow maybe an easy day out to Placerville, then up 49 to Nevada City with plenty of time to see the sights. The following day you could loop the rest of 49 to 89 then 70 and head home.

Just a thought...
