I bought a 2001 R1100RT that I could just touch my toes to pavement. Knowing it had the later model "comfort seat" that I could change out for the early model seat, I bought the bike. I love it, but the early model seat has a wobble to it. I don't think it would ever leave company with the bike, but....you never know. Safety first! Is there a fix out there for a wobble? How about a chunk of inner tube rubber wrapped around the tang on the rear seat where it enters the front seat?
Thanks, Jay

Jay, the 1100RT saddle has a "four point" system that the saddle rests in. The two front height adjustment rollers that you have to carefully get started, that like to fall out of place while you are pushing the saddle forward to fully engage the front mounts so the rear two lugs or "bumpers" can set in their respecitve positions. If'n you don't get everything lined up just right and the rear saddle in position without forcing the front saddle out of its position, the front saddle will rock from side to side.

Check the "bumpers" to see if they have been shortened. A lot of riders did this so the angle of the seat didn't keep you sliding up on the tank. A custom saddle with a narrowed nose will help you to "two foot" the beast beside making it a lot more comfortable to ride.
