I just purchased a 1983 R100 RT (60th anniv). It is a beautiful piece, but the clock does not work.
Any suggestions on repair or replacement?

Thanks

North Hollywood Speedometer 818 761 5136. I bought mine on ebay and it didn't work. N Hollywood did a beautiful job. Looks brand new!
Good luck

99% of the parts for your bike--including the clock--are available from BMW dealers.

On a 60th anniversary bike? How crude of you! ;)

I know that parts are available at the dealer, but personally, I'd try to hang on to the original equipment that came with the bike. If it's fixable (only the repair shops will know for sure), it won't be that much different than buying something new. At least close enough to take pride in knowing it's all original...IMO...

They are a standard size clock. An auto parts store can probably order you a similar one made by VDO (another German company), etc. They were used in 80's German cars like VW's and Audis, so you could probably get one for a couple bucks if you go to one of those pull your own junkyards and find an 80's Jetta(voltmeters too).

I've only had my airhead a little under 9 years and my clock has been accurate and dependable the entire time.
