The engine badges on my R90/6 are coming off, the glue having dryed out. What is the best glue to reattach them?

This question has been posted before - you may want to do a search.

My mechanic suggested ThreeBond liquid gasket 1104. I used it and I think the badge is on more-or-less permanently. I checked the ThreeBond website; the 1104 has been replaced by the 1194.

Check the ThreeBond tech data if you wish: http://www.threebond.co.jp/en/technical/technicalnews/pdf/tech02.pdf

BTW the solvent for this glue is toluene.

Permatex Super Weatherstrip adhesive...aka Gorilla Snot (it looks yellowish). Follow the directions, put a bit on each surface, allow to get tacky, and stick it in place. BTW...be sure where you place the engine badge...you don't want any trouble removing the clamshell covers for the air filter...DAMHIK.

Hi,
I agree with Kurt. Years ago when I rebuilt/reassembled a '77 R75/7 from a basket case, I used the yellow "Gorilla Snot" to stick the badges to the starter cover. They were still there a year and a half later when I sold the bike. Follow the instructions on the container and it should work for you, too.
