I have a 75/R/90/6 that runs great. I want to restore it to stock. It came with a Windjammer fairing and a custom seat. I was thinking of getting a parts bike that don't run. What is a fair price?
I would think a non-running parts bike "basket case" would be worth $300-$700 depending on model and how much is there. Sometimes a wheel (or other widget) from a parts bike is worth the entire price.

Check craigslist or ibmwr to see what people think their stuff is worth.
Check ebay to see what stuff is actually going for.
I got a 100% complete, with title, non-running R90/6 with Daytona fairing, extra tank, mag wheels, extra wheel, Krauser hard bags, crashbars, 2 extra head light assemblies, tool kit, etc... for $1100.
I got a 99% complete, non-running R75/6 with Vetter fairing, tool kit, etc... for the equivalent of $720.
...
First thing I did to both was lose the fairing(s). The R75 is now my daily driver, and the R90 is turning into a cafe racer.

Thanks for the information........I will be keeping a eye out for a good deal. I would like to put the bike back to stock, or at least get rid of the big fairing. The seat needs to be replaced. I am looking for a replacement seat that is stock. I am also trying to find out if a S type fairing will work on my bike. It is a lot smaller and better looking. I will only miss the windjammer when the rain is hard.
Thanks again Enginerod

I would think an S-type fairing would work...if you have the basis of an R90/6, they put the S fairing on the R90S...
