The "Boys of Summer" cooperated today for a quick pic before racing off for another ride. School starts next week so they got to ride while they can; you know the feeling! Each one of these guys love Beemers, love riding and will, by example ride beemers if the gods are willing:brad

It's been raining today, so they are anxious to go tear it up in the back 40...lucky to get this shot, thought I would share...

Since I got my first bike (BMW) my son always asks to seat on my bike once getting off the bus from school. He now knowns many brands of bike now as well.
The best is when, I stop in to his school to drop somethings off - I walk in to his class and his classmates - go is that your dad- wow your cool - can you do wheelies - can I try on your helmet. And my son turns to his classmates and says - Ya my dad drives a BMW motorcycle and he is cool. That's a child!

Robert/Bob

Here's the photo I wanted to post - but had problems finding it in my old computer. Check out the face !

Unfortunately - this bike was totaled on 5/30/07. And my son has grown since the photo this is when he was 5 he is 7.5 now.
I still have it and are parting it out now.
Looking to get a new steed - just need to replace my lid and riding pants.
Not sure if the F800's are to small for me or jump to a 1200's or K or R.
I need to get out and ride some to see what I LIKE and can afford.

Now 14, at his 3rd rally, second national. He tried to talk the BMW demo guy into letting him test ride a F650.

Future Motorcyclist or Biker?

Yesterday, after we spent some time shooting hoops, my youngest son and I were debating what to do in the last few minutes left before bedtime routines kicked in.

I asked him if he wanted to try sitting on Maria, he of course jumps right on her and proceeded to pretend to be riding her. His feet barely reach the pegs but he was trying!

Here's Miles in Snarling Biker Guy mode:

Here he is in fully law-abiding, mellow motorcyclist mode:

When he asked me when he could ride the motorcycle or get one of his own, I told him he could get one at the same age I did, 45, this did not seem to faze him in the least. Needless to say, if he really intends to ride a motorcycle someday, it'll be with the MSF Safety Course under his belt, and with some years of cage driving as well.

Here’s my daughter who can’t wait to get her license in a few months.

I found a good deal on a used 2005 Kawasaki 250 Ninja in a local classified paper so I bought it for her a little early to learn on.

Thanks to all who posted/are posting to this thread! Kids, in my book are about the most important thing I got going in my life other than the woman who helped me create them!

It's great to see these shots, helps me (us, thebrothers and sisters of BMWMOA) see the real you. I really like to see this kind of response

I am sure she would love a ride.
She did here.

...it has a Rotax engine!

:thumb - SRAB, who can resist?

My son is six and right now this Bombardier 90 has 2-speeds ON or OFF! It takes a lot of work for me to keep up with him on my Honda 300!
