This smile should explain it all. I'm back! I'm back!

It has now been nine weeks since my accident; broken tib/fib and surgery. This past Tuesday I stopped using my crutches and now walk unaided. Currently my walk does resemble that of Frankenstein but I'm getting better every day (thanks to a regiment of liquid supplements). I attend physiotherapy three times a week and enjoy the cute therapists who massage my leg for 20 minutes each time.
I started working on my motorcycles. I sanded out the scratch in my crash bars on the GS and repainted them. I sat on the GS while it was on the center stand, started it up for a few seconds and teased myself with the idea of going for a ride. Now that I have a new Wilbers rear shock I'm unable to flat-foot it and don't feel confident enough to ride it yet. My goal is to ride it on August 30th but something was calling me from underneath a black nylon cover a few feet away...
I unveiled my K75C and realized there was a reason why I didn't sell this bike. I mounted it easily and both my feet touched the ground with confidence. I cleaned off my boots, gloves and helmet that were still covered in dust from the day of my 'adventure wipe-out'. I suited up and went for a ride into Scotts Valley. Extra cautiously and conservatively I rounded the corners, fighting the fear. My smile soon returned and I felt alive again. :heart I'm riding to work tomorrow.
