I just got home from a 6000 mile (actual mileage 5,985) ride. Left on July 21 and went to Albuquerque for a family reunion. After a week in Albuquerque at a family reunion my brother in law and I rode thru NM, up thru the mountains of Colorado to Yellowstone, to the Little Bighorn via Billing and then he rode to Portland, Oregon and I came home to Pennsylvania. It was all back roads as far as Yellowstone and then I took the super slab home. It was a great trip. I plan to submit an article or two to the ON so we will see if Mandy and Vince like it enough to publish.

Jon, I tried to post a picture of me the first day and failed miserably. I am putting together an Album and will attempt to post the URL to this site. Bear with an old dog trying to learn new computer tricks.:type

Great Stuff Richard :) Looks like you had a grand time touring the Southwest :thumb

Really liked the view of El Vado Lake State Park, NM!

What route did you take through Wyoming, btw?

Hey Jon, entered Wyoming from Walden Colo on Wyoming 230 (Colo 127) went to Walcott on Wyoming 130, caught I-80 to Rawlins then took Wyoming 789/287 to Dubois, Wyoming. Spent the night in Dubois at the KOA and next day took Wyoming 191 past Grand Teton Natl park and entered Yellowstone through the south entrance. Camped at Grant Village campground for two nights and rode around the park. Then we went up to Cooke City Montana and rode the Chief Joseph Highway (Wyoming 296, through the Beartooth mountains back down to Cody via Wyoming 120. Beautiful riding country.
