low idle speed after repair

Blew up an alternator belt on my 1150Rt. replaced last weekend, went smoothly, but after putting all back together idle speed was low. bike starts fine, runs smoothly as before, just have to hold throttle on to keep running. took fairing off. could detect no wires, leaks or restrictions. any ideas what I might be missing. thanks.

did you perhaps disturb the cable junction box while replacing the belt, it is in the same area, although i couldn't imagine any cable probelm would have the effect of slowing down the idle speed.

thought of that, but all is in order there. I suppose could have been impaired before and I bumped whatever was in the way clear so now cables are running where they should. will mess with again theis weekend,and do a valve adjustment and sync while I have all the plastic off. thanks.
