At 6K mi my R1150R got a new transmission and clutch under warranty, the symptom was *very* difficult downshifting in lower gears (double-clutching usually required).
I was told that there was a misalignment between the input shaft and transmission, and that the transmission was the cause of the problem. OK.
At 20K, the same symptoms are appearing. The dealer had a mechanic ride the bike, but since they problem is intermittent, they can't reproduce the problem and therefore won't take any action. Understandable, I suppose.
My warranty runs out in May. I'm wondering how serious this might be. I've heard that this problem can occur early and often on some oilheads of this vintage. Perhaps I should cut my losses with this bike and make a trade.
