My Mother-in-law has a 1959 R-60 with a side car that has been in her family for a number of years. She is 58, or so, now and needs something a little easier to ride and a lot easier to start. With that being said, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as far as attempting to find out what it is worth and how to go about selling it for her? I know this may not be the right forum to be posting this so I will post it in the vintage forum as well. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

The mental picture of your mother-in-law riding a family heirloom with a sidecar is worth a grin even if it is in the "wrong" forum. I'm no help on question, but thanks for sharing.

Try having to see it in person every so often! It ain't easy on the eyes.......Starting to think that maybe I will just buy it anyway........

It's in Lexington. Get the bike there, ask for offers. You won't have to take it back home.

(58 seems a little young to me).

A 1959 R60 with a sidecar is very likely worth more than you may think! They are in demand, rare, and the sidecar makes it rarer still. Items such as this sell on EBay for high dollars (most of them are concourse restorations). Pre 1970 bikes are highly sought after by collectors. Take a look at the BMW listings on EBay for some insights as to value. :thumb
