Need help replacing a fuel sending unit on my 88 K100LT. Any websites leading me on how to remove the fairing ect. ?

It's not necessary to remove the faring to replace the fuel sending unit only the lower fairing on the left side. You may even be able to do it without removing the left side if you are able to get to the hose clamps on the fuel lines. Once the hose clamps are off and the electric plug is unplugged it is easy to remove the tank.

I have an 87 K100 LT. I have found it easier to remove the tank, if I remove the glove boxes, however it is not necessary. It gives me more room and less chance of scratching the tank. I don't have the radio in mine anymore and that makes that box easier to remove.
