If you're going to be at the Chicago Motorcycle Show this Saturday (in Rosemont, ok, not Chicago) drop over to the BMW area around 1pm.
We're going to have a little presentation for Ylad Yarets, the deaf/mute Russian motorcyclist and world traveler.
Yarets was injured in October downstate, and has been in a hospital and nursing home since. He can walk a little...and looking forward to resuming his ride to Central and South America.
BMW NA and TAG Motorsports have come up with a used F650GS for Vlad, so we're going to have a presentation.

Can't make it Saturday, but I'll be there on Sunday. Maybe you can take some pictures, Tom:)?

It should be exciting. I wish I could be there.

Tom,

I can help you with resizing images. Send me a PM and I'll explain how to do it. It's really pretty easy, but you need to download a free tool to do it.

TAG deserves a round of applause! So do you, Tom, and everyone working so hard to get Vladimir properly mended and back in the saddle.

It’s no Jawa, but maybe the yellow GS will make him more visible on the road (or on the side of the road)!

Thanks for the nice words, folks, but the real work was done by Ironbutters Jim Winterer, Kerry Willy. and Rick Martin, as well as Tom Breedlove - who takes great photos, and who along with Rick got to wheel Vladimir around Saturday.
We've gotten help from the Russian Riders of Chicago, the Sons of Thunder, the Illinois Valley BMW club and others.
All I've had to do is tell their story and take some video...
