I have a 1988 K100rt and am looking to add some driving lights. I have been to a few web sites but do not see this model listed under possible choices. Does anyone know of a light kit that will fit my RT? I would appreciate any ideas......

But - Suburban Machinery made brackets that mount to the fork legs where the fender bolts up - these will work with PIAA (overpriced) lights, and some clone lights. RBR also made a light bar for this model - search Google under RBR or "Rather be riding" - he frequently offers his bars at a good price on Ebay. And of course plain-Jane Motolights, strap-mount (band around the fork slider) should also work.. they do come as a kit.

I have a 1987 K100LT, same fairing as yours. I went to Walmart and and purchased Platinum Burners driving lights. $14.95. They use a H3 55 watt light. Relay, wire, lights , fuse (Oriley Auto Parts) were $35 and I still have somwe wire. I used one of the switches on my dash wired directly from the battery to the switch/relay/lights.

Mounted under the headlight as far back as possible in holes that are in the fairing. If you want to tie in to high beams need 2 relays.

Look great, provide all the light I need, and you can see them a mile in the daylight. The local Kawasaki dealer (who owns a BMW K1200Lt) remarked how nice they were. When I told him $15.00 he about had a cat.
