How do I go about doing it?

I would look in the yellow pages and bring them there. I am curious why you think they need to be cleaned, in case I ever run into the problem myself. :)

i had 3 plugged injectors...i used

an air compressor
a 12 volt power supply with small clip leads
wd40
and a can of carb cleaner

you can feel the lil do-hicky inside move when you put the 12v leads on...if i didnt then i used wd..if i did i used carb cleaner

i managed to clean all the injectors by alternating the wd and carb cleaner..i would use a air jet from my compressor while the 12v leads were on the connectors on the injectors...i did not leave the 12v supply on long at all...just enough time to blast air through

after i put wd or cleaner in the intake part i aimed the jet of the injector at a dry piece of cardboard...at first i got nothing...then a lil...then a good spray...i would do it till i got a good spray about 10 times in a row...sometimes reversing the airflow would get great results...
my logic worked but i also thought to myself...if i mess up i can get rebuilt ones on ebay pretty cheap

Go to the K Bike forum and read the "Fuel Injectors, Clean or Buy New'. I just finished cleaning the injectors on a K75 that were in bad shape. Not my problem on why the bike wouldn't run.

Am I right in assuming you hooked the air up to the place where the fuel goes in?:lurk

A few years back I had a back problem in the middle of painting and going through the mechanics on my K100RS. This resulted in the fuel rail sitting open for 6 months, gumming up the injectors. I took them to the local diesel injector service where the cleaned them for $8 apiece, at the time(2000?). For that price, it's not worth fooling with them yourself.

My 94 R1100RS has 122,000+ miles on it. I have never cleaned the injectors, never had them out. But, at least twice a season I run a bottle of Techron through the gas. Sometimes I also run a pint of Marvel Mystery Oil through a full gas tank.

My bike has NO surging whatsoever, and I do my own throttle body balance. I had replaced the intake runners with the long ones from a GS in the first year I owned the bike. I also run Autolite 3923 or 3924 plugs in place of the Bosch plugs.
