Unfortunately, I came outside to ride my 115RT and a large puddle of gasoline was on the driveway beneath it. I located the problem with the fuel line and valves from the tank.
There is a wierd looking clamp (about 4 of them on two lines) and it is made of stainless steel. Does anyone know how to take these clamps off. I will be replacing them with standard clamps from the local BMW dealer.
Thanks for any help. :wave

I seem to remember wrestling mine off witha screwdriver and a pair of pliers.

Crimp type clamps come stock, you can cut them off and replace them with adjustable clamps from NAPA, just ask for fuel injection clamps of the correct size.

They're easy to get off. Just take a good look at how they go together and it's pretty self explanitory. The best tool for the job is a pair of channel locks, if there is room to work.
As for replacements:

When these started leaking on my 1999 R1100RT the was no room for pliers under there. I inserted a small diameter punch (or nail set or framing nail) into the small open bulge in the clamp and twisted gently (do not torque the metal fuel fitting). It was easy to open the clamp up just enough to push it up off of the rubber hose, then quickly pull the hose off, remove the crimped clamp/ring and shove the hose back on.
I was unable to find any of the correct style/size clamps locally (tried several parts stores including NAPA, diesel shop, farm equipment shop); I live in a small rural area. Finally ordered the parts from Chicago BMW.
