My '05 RT has 10,000 mi on it, and still seems to be consuming a lot of oil. I have added approx 1.75 quarts over the last 4000 mi. If anything, it seems to be gulping more now than previously, although I haven't kept detailed records. What are others experieincing?

I have a 05 RT with 10,500 miles. I use about 1/6 of a quart for 3000 miles.

While that is sort of a lot by comparison with some, it's not over the limit of a liter/1Km. It should dry up by 30K or so.

Use conventional oil and keep it spinning.

I've got nearly 30,000 km (18,000 ish miles) and I'm still feeding it on a regular basis. Quite used to it now. Frankly I think it's some scheme cooked up by the engineers to make sure you develop a habit of checking your oil. It's probably the same joker that designed how to change the head light bulbs..

My Roadster - broken in "by the book" - uses about no oil now at 4,000 miles. In the first 4,000 after the 600 mile service, it used less than 1/2 a quart - and that was added at about 2,000 miles in North Carolina after a lot of days doing all 2nd and 3rd gear twisties.
Since then - nada. The last 2000+ miles - it has used no oil. Level stays steady in the window.
I'm quite pleased with this since my R1150RS oilhead gulped oil like it was going out of style (but I didn't break it in..) At 24,000 it was still consuming more than I liked.
