I have created a Garmin GPX file of the kettle drive route. Mapping software is city navigator N.A version 7. If you are not using the same version of the maps, you will have to recalculate on your PC prior to downloading it to your GPS. If not, the waypoints won't line up with the map in your gps.

regards.

Nope, Can't open it. Thanks a bunch for taking the time and effort to send the attachment. When I get to the rally, I'll just hook up with a local and ask where a good ride is and I will get a grand tour. Most folks are proud to show off their state and I have had some fantastic rides that way.

I downloaded the file back to my own PC in another directory and opened it just to verify it wasn't corrupt. I had no problem. It was created and saved with mapsource version 6.12.4. What software are you using to open the file?

paul

Dasm, wish I'd had this two weeks ago when I was out there! Thanks so much for doing this. I'll save it for next time. The file opened right up in my Mapsource.

For us that don't have a GPS unit, is there a way to print these directions?

Thanks for any help from anyone.

No guarantees of accuracy, but here goes:

BTW, the start is Kettle Moraine Road along the shore of Whitewater Lake in Whitewater, WI. Amazing what you can find out with mapping programs but no actual local knowledge!

Opened up fine in Mapsource V8. Since I'm staying in Hartford, I'll be able to ride from there in both directions since its right on the route. I also now have a great route to the rally grounds.

Thanx's again,
Brian

Jerry,

Thanks, the directions printed out great. Now just to plot it out on a map.

Hey! I finally figured it out. :thumb Thanks a bunch! The route is loaded onto my mobile unit and I am anxious to take the ride. Looks like West Bend is about in the middle of the route. What do you suggest, going South or North first?:dunno
