title from bill of sale

Mass did until 3 years ago.

The only way to do this, as far as I know from my experience with vintage vehicles where this is pretty common, is to use a "title company". In a nutshell, you sell them the vehicle/bike for $1 and then they obtain a title in a state where you can still do it on a Bill of Sale, then they sell it back to you for $1.

While you are only out $2 technically, somehow your wallet is at least a couple hundred lighter...go figure.

You'll find them listed in Hemmings Motor News under Services or in the back of Old Car Trader usually.
