Being in the anonymous book,last night I got a call from a fellow riding back from Alaska. He called from Wawa and met me in the Sault this morning.
His rear tire on his GS was worn down to the cords,no problem I thought,we'll get a 17" tire,put in on,(I have a no-mar tire machine) and thats that.
Not one dealer on his route or in the Sault had a 17" tire!!
Finally I called the Honda dealer in Sault Michigan,they only had a 17" tire off a Valkerie that was a tight fit,they installed it immediately . It was rubbing on the lower shock bracket and after "wearing in"-lots of smoke,he was on his way.
Does anyone have a used Metzler Torrance or any 17" that I can have for the next guy?
