Never had to stop. (insert knock on wood smiley here) They just turn the lights on to let me know I should probably slow down. No one has ever actually come after me. That has happened two or three times. I don't have a radar detector but am always scanning agressively. Plus I live in Jersey where 80 doesn't get a nod from even the most strict LEOs. You really gotta be doing something dumb to get pulled over here.
The one time I actually spoke with a cop while on my bike I was clocked at 83 in a 55. But the guy in the back who actually got pulled over was a corrections officer so when they caught up to us after their little gab session it was just a slow it down guys and be safe. Also helped that we were enroute to a Patriot Guard Ride at 0530 and 35F.

3/4th mile from home. Friday before Labor Day last year. Desk jockey has to be on the road helping with enforcement.
Asks "How fast were you going?"
Me "Fast enough for you to stop me."
Him "You got it down to 73 before I clocked you."
Me "Hmmmmm"
Him "You can ask for court supervision and not have this go on your record."
Me "Thanks"
Him "How do you like the Beemer?"
Me "Why didn't we talk bikes first?"
Him "Have a nice day."
Me "Grumble, grumble, grumble."
Cost? $150 :nono
My wife says it makes up for all of the other tickets I should have gotten and didn't. Do have some speeding karma, it seems.

Nebraska, coming home from Redmund, Oregon. He clocked us at 20 over, was very nice and polite and gave us a ticket for 10 over. I was so angry(not really), but I paid the 20 dollar ticket (Yes, that's all!) and we took off.:brow

As soon as I pass a city limit sign and see a cop I just pull over. It seems to help. I was thinking about an oilhead, but I can't get through three tanks of gas on an Airhead without a stern finger wagging.
I have a First Cav sticker on the back. It's a good conversation starter. Cops love soldiers.

My first on the Beemer was in Fair Oaks Ranch, a small community west of SanAntonio. THAT was your warning if in the area!
GF and I were enroute to her bro-in-laws the night before a road trip. She took the lead and I wasn't paying attention to the 70 to 35 sign. I radioed her as he spun around saying I was getting pulled over...I "assumed" she would keep going until the next gas station...she came back:doh ...he was writing me for a 62 in a 35:bluduh when she made the smarty comment about me speeding and giggled...the 20 something LEO looked at her and said " you were going 3MPH faster than him!...stand by" LOL. she got one too!
We have a new plan...cause I ain't stoppin' for her if she gets tagged...nothing personal...just not gonna happen!Hopefully she keeps going ...I'll understand..." What rider sir?:dunno I don't know them"
