Regardless what we believe in we are all beneficiaries of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. This week I wish to give thanks to our ancestors, our family members, our loved ones, our neighbors and friends who gave the ultimate sacrifice. For those that served with them, to those that supported them on the home front I want to say thank you for your sacrifice and service. Thank you also to our allies and friends that stood by us in this age of uncertainty and in past conflicts.

To our fallen comrades, absent from us forever. May they rest in peace.

...we'd be speaking a weird combination of German and Japanese.
Thank you veterans!

I'll be going to the ceremony at Veteran's Park to honor the fallen today.
Not many Vietnam Vet's in attendence usually, I guess most of them are
still out in the bush, or somewhere....

Today we should all take a moment to thank those who served our country. What we take for granted is not due to free press, protestors, or those who would continually criticize our government.
It is because of the soldiers who serve our country that we enjoy these "freedoms" without repercussion.

I went to the Tunbridge, VT Memorial Day parade, followed by a ceremony where they played the National Anthem, said a prayer, recited "Flanders Field" and "The Gettysburg Address, followed by playing America. There was a multi-gun salute, one young may played Taps (echoed by another one over the hill), let some doves out of a cage, and set off a civil war cannon. All preceded by a VT Air National Guard flyover. And all on a perfect day. I rode over the Chesea Mtn Road (new pavement too) on the way to Randolph Center and the Vermont Veteran's Cemetery to remember those who served us all. It is a beautiful spot.
Thanks to all you who served.
