Blessed with great weather, I needed to take a ride yesterday, so I rode the R1200RT over to the Washington Co. Fair Grounds, site of the 2007 Rally. Wow - great facilities. It is modern, clean and well spread out. Seems to be plenty of asphalt parking surfaces and washrooms. Groundskeeping was also taking place, and it was being well groomed.

Just a note on directions: From I-43, either northbound or southbound, simply take HWY 60 (Grafton Exit) west to CTH P - then north on P for 3 minutes and you're there.

From HWY 41 (7 miles west of CTH P), or HWY 45 (closest to fairgrounds and goes thru West Bend), either northbound or southbound, same routine - take HWY 60 Exit east from either of those two highways to CTH P and then north again to the fairgrounds.

Had lunch at the Mineshaft in Hartford (12 minutes west of HWY 45 on HWY 60) and as always, it's a treat. Huge facility (corner of HWY 60 & HWY 83) with memorabilia on the walls from a bygone era of mining and early settlers - worth a visit, and great cuisine.

Can't wait till July!!

If coming on HWY 45 you do not have to take off on HWY60, if coming from the south just go one exit farther "Pleasant Valley Rd" and you are right at the Fair Grounds. :usa

Sadly to say my ride to the rally will not be too much fun, I live about 12 minutes east on Pleasant Valley Rd. :german

But I know I will enjoy the rally, especially the heritage performances.
