I have a 4Gb MP3 player with all kinds of Rock'n'Roll, Reggae, Blues, no country and no Lawrence Welk. I like the Dead but I don't have any of their music. Should I bring some CD blanks? How were you expecting to trade music?

I'll be there.

I have four or five shows on the "nyepod" and a bunch of Dick's picks loaded in too.

I also have a utility that will grab music off an ipod if that is what you are bringing.

Great!

Glad to hear from some other music lovers!

I am not a high tech transfer guy, so I thought I would just boot some rare shows on disk before coming to give to whomever...I have some early stuff from the pig pen days snare drum stuff...And some obscure sets like the egypt show "Terrapin Station"

Most of all, I was hooping to meet a few other MOA's who like to tap their foot then transfer name and email so we can slide a few across the country later on via email!

For the record, I have had my shares of good times watching Lawerence Welk and his harem of pretty girls!

We live in Wisconsin and my wife may be bringing the minivan everyday.
I plan on loading my guitars and now, I will have her bring the laptop w/CD burner also.
I will be bringing a "spare" acoustic because I have missed my guitars many times while at rallys, and I assume other do also. We were planning on Food vending at the rally so I should be easy to find.

NOW I'm getting excited about West Bend! Throw in a few decibles of music, great bikes, good people, Wonderful wonderland of Wisconsin to explore during the day, and the MOA ralley has the makings of a GRATE trip! Look for me on a GS somewhere in MNMOA section, Dead sticker on the luggage, OF COURSE!

when in Spain, do as the spaniards, so I will for sure bring my squeeze box and a gross of earplugs....

If my memory serves, the Dead NEVER played Wisconsin! Wonder Why?

Seriously, looking forward to whatever kind of music is being played.

I believe the dead played at Alpine Valley a mess of times in the 80"s. I think I've seen some recordings!

They sure did. I worked a few of the Grateful Dead concerts at Alpine Valley as an EMT.

We *ALL* had a buzz after those concerts.

I saw them a few times. I preferred just seeing Jerry on tour.

Bob Weir and Dan Zane did a pretty pretty good cover of "Wabash Cannonball"

Maybe we get together at West Bend for a Drum Circle, sing some Who songs along with an accordian?:bikes

In addition to Alpine Valley which I presume is a pretty new venue, the Grateful Dead played almost every year at the U of Wisconsin, Dane County Coliseum in Madison?..

I seem to have at least 3 shows from there. Beer tent to the Drum Circle sounds just fine:bottle :groovy
