I have a guy here saying you can make Spokane in 16 hours from L.A....
Is this possible?
I'm debating weather I want to superslab Hwy 5 all the way to Seattle...rather dreary...:snore
Any thoughts?

Streets and Trips forecasts 1200 miles, give or take. Whether you can get that done in 16 hours is up to you.

I am just doin the prelim planning, got to get some info on the route to Spokane, I'll watch for any other interest in this route. Looking at goin up 395 to Bishop, then hwy 6 to Nevada 360 to US 95 thru Idaho and cut over to 195 up to Spokane, something like that. Any one have any travel time on those roads?

Anyone planning to ride to Spokane from the California area may enjoy a road that I took on my way to the 2001 Rally in Redmond.
Hells Canyon National Recreation Area (http://www.fs.fed.us/hellscanyon/) features an excellent twisty road, FR-39, aka Wallowa Mountain Loop and Imnaha Road. The road departs north from OR86 northeast of Richland, Oregon.
I never thought I would tire of twisties... but this road wore me out!!!
Take the turn to Joseph, otherwise you're going to need a GS. Follow OR 82 to OR 3, and dig the canyon wall as you head toward Anatone, WA.
The Hell's Canyon NRA features absolutely primo primitive camping all along the way...
