Last Fall I did a foolish thing and aquired an insurance auction bike. I then spent the winter putting it back together.

Well frankenbike is nealy finished. Enough to ride to work yesterday, in the rain, hail, and severe thunderstorm warnings. So I took the picture of it today. Thats why it's dirty. It runs great, but there are a few tweeks left to make it comfortable.

From broke, to bundle of parts, to bike again. Somewhere I read a thread of a dream bike for less than $2000.00. This now tallies in at about $1850.00.

Now to see if I can attach either a picture or the link to the Yahoo album.

I posted yesterday on the Rounders website, but didn't get to here until today. I just needed to thank Ya'all for all the help gleaned from the archives and for responses to my inquiries. I couldn't have finished it without the help.

Looks like a great ride for under $2K and you got to get away from the couch & TV & :buds .

I just pulled a /5 out of a shed because I had too much time on my hands one Sunday for $1K, but will not total the parts/labor, some things a person should never know:D .
