I am Linearagle's wife, Judy, and I thought I would let everyone know about his fall in Nevada. He is at Renouned Regional Hospital in Reno, Nevada having surgery on a badly broken leg. Does anyone know what I should do from here, as I am in Victoria, BC with my daughter. Any advise is appreciated.

Judy

Judy,

I don't know your husband, but I'm sorry to hear about his crash. I hope he's in good hands in the hospital.

"What to do from here" could mean a lot of things. Have you spoken to him on the telephone? Is he aware of what's going on? How long will he be hospitalized? What shape is he apt to be in when he's discharged? Are there arrangements in place to get him back home? What became of his motorcycle? Is it going to get home? I'm sure that's not an exhaustive list. And it may well be that some or most of these questions can't even be answered yet, but will require some additional time (to see how he does) before the answer will become clear.

I'm not near Reno, but perhaps with some more focused queries you'd get a response from someone closer to the scene.

I am in Reno and if there is something I could help you with let me know.
Do you know how long he is going to be in the hospital ?

Cross posted a link at BMWST.com where he seems to be relatively active as well.

Thxs for your reply. I did talk to him just before he was wheeled out for surgery. He is really concerned about his bike of course. I will know more when I call him tomorrow.

Judy,

You have a private message. It contains several phone numbers of people in Reno from the anonymous book. If you don't know what that is, it is explained in the message.

At the top of this page there should be a small header that says:

Welcome, Lineareagle: private messages (1)

Click on the "private messages" part and it should take you to a page where you can open the message I sent you (you may have more.)

I included the Sparks dealer's phone number as well. I'm not sure that I have much more to offer from 3 hours away, but I'll try if you let us know what it is.

You've come to the right place. Looks like you have some contacts already. Please do keep us updated.

BMW riders are there for each other in so many ways.

Judy,

Please check the thread where you posted over on the http://www.bmwst.com bulletin board. SageRider is mounting a "rescue effort" for the bike, and has transport and storage. He sent you a message. Look for the little flashing "mail" icon near the top right of the page.

Bummer, Judy, sorry to here about his accident. Where in Southern Ontario? Do you need anyone to look after things at this end?

Update.
Bruce is doing well and I went down to Sierra BMW today and got the rest of his stuff off of his bike. I picked up his wife Judy at the airport this evening and she will be staying the night with him at the hospital.
They will be flying home tomorrow.
