Much has been written about helmets. I thought I might add my first impressions of the new Multitech.
I tried on several different brands. Fit became the main issue. The big Shoei fit my rather large head. I bought it.
When I first put it on, I thought it felt a bit heavier than my old Beemer system helmet, but decided that was simply because the face part was up, instead of down. When down, I didn't notice it. The cheek pads were a bit snug, initially. I set them under a heavy object, and left them for a few days. It made a big difference. The top of my eye glass did come in contact with the helmet liner, but I simply smashed the foam a bit, and that problem went away.
Then on my head, on the bike, and down the road. In only a few miles, I forgot that I had a new helmet. That was a good sign. Also, I immediately noticed that the top vent really does vent. The chin vent doesn't do much behind the full dressed bike screen, but that is to be expected.
The shield, and the front frame are very positive in all positions.
The helmet is much much more quite than the old system helmet. Doesn't seem to make much difference where the wind hits it, it's still much more quite.
All in all, I am quite happy with it, and see no reason to go in another direction.
Oh yeah, lest I forget, the blue is, like, REALLY blue. I will enhance it with a white reflective strip, but it would stand out in the crowd without the tape.
