Folks,

I am going to replace the throttle cable on a K75C. I assume I have to remove the tank. Do I have to remove the airbox too, or is there another way to install the cable? Also, one end of the replacement cable has a standard barrel. The other end has a much smaller metal nub. How do you get the nub into place? Any other tricks or tips for me?

Thanks,

Jim, if you remove the air filter and loosen the rubber intake tube at the intake plenum, slack in the cable for the airflow meter should allow you to swing the airbox out of the way to do this work.

The small metal nub goes up at the throttle assembly end. It slides into a block that is connected to a chain-and-sprocket gear assembly to operate the throttle.
