K Bike radio questions

A new to me K bike followed me home this weekend and parked itself next to the 1200 GS.

Wow,
talk about a huge difference between two bikes and now I have the best of both worlds.

However I seemsed to have locked up the competerized theft resistant BMW AM/FM cassette radio by entering the wrong code several times.:doh

Can anyone tell me how to unlock the radio so I can input the corrrect code. I disconnected the battery for several minutes but it still has the wrong code on the screen and won't accept another one.

The bike is a 1990 K1000LT andf the stereo is the stock AM/FM casstette that mounts in the fairing.

I can't remember which button it is but it is one of the buttons at the top of the radio that you hold down for several seconds that will clear the wrong code from the display.

Does anyone have an original manual for the radio? This would answer the question.

Press and hold the 'band' button until the code numbers disappear.
