I’ve been planning on attending the spring PA Airhead Tech Day for a while and today was the day. My /5 has been behaving well lately but I can always find something that needs to be done. The Tech Day was in the Allentown area, which isn’t too far from me. The forecast was for a warm day in the 70s, which is a change from what we’ve had lately. I planned on doing a few things at the Tech Day so loaded up the fluids and parts I’d need and hit the road. A chilly start but good riding weather, especially knowing it would warm up.

I know plenty of back roads that will get me up to Allentown. The trees haven’t leafed out yet, but this is a nice time of year.

I headed up through Lederach, Green Lane and Zionsville and stopped a few times for pictures.

There was enough of this to keep things interesting.

I arrived around 9 and joined the growing crowd. I’d say eventually there were at least 15 bikes there.

I got to work on replacing the push rod seals, and with everyone’s help, got the job done. Hopefully I’ll have one less oil leak now. :)

After a pleasant afternoon among fellow Airheads I started back home. It had warmed up enough so I was able to take the liner out of my riding jacket for the first time since October. :bliss I took a slightly different route home on some of the nice roads off of Rt 100.

Looks like Spring has sprung, and not a moment too soon.
