On my 2000 r1100rt there are four aftermarket holes drilled into the fairing just to the outside of each knee pad. @ on each side. Each spaced 6" vertically apart. The holes have the silver aluminum casing and look ready to be used by a wind deflector.

I saw on A&S Cycles something that looked like what might have been there: Air Wind Deflectors, Aerogard? (the picture at A&S is not very good so I couldn't get a positive id.? Does anyone use these.

If so, are they good enough to invest in, do they do the job; keep wind off in cold weather and direct wind to riders in warmers weather?

Any help is appreciated!

I used Baker Built Air Wings ( http://bakerbuilt.com/home.htm ) on a K100RT. Nice product; well made and fairly priced. On the K-RT I considered them to be mandatory for hot weather riding.

On my current R1100RT I've never felt the need.
