Lake Havazu City??

I heard Lake Havazu City Az. mentioned as a vacation destination today. I was checking it out on the map. Looks interesting.. Have any of you folks been through the area?? How is the motorcycle touring/sight seeing around there??

The riding is great, but stay out of there June to mid-September.

From an Arizonan who has been there and back. Don't go for the rally, though, unless you want to be greatly outnumbered by the HOGs. Not that I have anything one, but 3000 to 1 is a little much.

Riding is good there, the previous weather warning is accurate too unless you like the hot desert. The original London Bridge is very cool to see, and I believe this is the one that Jack The Ripper did his notorious work close to. Lots of history in that structure, and a real hoot of a place to find a bridge in the middle of a desert...lol.

As mentioned above, the riding is great, as is the location. One thing I could not get used to was the fact that the only grass I saw was at the Refuge Golf Course. Have a funny story to relate, in West Bend ,about the day I had a burger and a beer at a local spot and complained to the bartender that I liked his town but was unable to find any decent grass in the area. The place got real quiet all of a sudden.
