Rumors or Fact??? help

I am looking to buy a 1150RT, I have read some where that there was an issue with brakes on certain years? I know that linked brakes are a standard feature, is that what I am hearing about or was there some other brake problem?
if anyone can enlighten me in this issue I would appreciate your time. :D

If it is brake failure that you are thinking about, no. A lot of scorn has been heaped on the linked system, the ABS system, the power assist system, but unless you are going racing on the track the complaints seem rather moot to those of use that are just going out for the relaxing ride that the RT gives.

I've got an '02, R 1150 RT with 33K and I've had no problems with the ABS. It is fully integrated and I've stopped using my brake pedal entirely. Yeah, that sounds strange, but think about being able to make every single stop with both feet squarely on the ground. The ABS has also saved my butt a couple in severe braking situations.

Get the 1150 that you want guy, and enjoy. -- rock
